French stock market sees abnormal trading volumes, Nexity and Ubisoft surge

On 24 July 2026 the Paris bourse recorded unusually high trading activity in major CAC All‑Shares stocks. Nexity shares traded at a volume 458 % above the five‑day average, accounting for about 1 % of the company’s capital, while Ubisoft Entertainment posted a 113 % volume increase, also representing roughly 1 % of its share capital changing hands.

The previous session on 23 July was marked by a sharp pull‑back in the CAC 40, which fell 1.64 % to 8,299 points amid weak corporate results, rising oil prices and heightened tensions in the Middle East. French blue‑chip stocks such as STMicroelectronics, Soitec, SEB, Thales and Total moved markedly, and global markets reacted to Brent crude breaching $100 a barrel and US 10‑year Treasury yields climbing to 4.70 %.
