Fresno plane crash kills two children, leaves two adults critical

A small single-engine aircraft, identified as a Grumman American Aviation AA-5, crashed near the Sierra Sky Park Airport in northwest Fresno, California, on Saturday afternoon. The accident resulted in the deaths of two children and left two adults in critical condition.

The aircraft went down near Blythe Avenue and the San Joaquin River, prompting a massive emergency response from the Fresno Fire Department, Fresno Police, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, and North Central Fire Department. The impact caused a temporary power disruption in the surrounding area, which was later restored by PG&E.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. Authorities have not yet released the identities or the relationship of the victims.
