FRITZ! announces MyFritz app updates and FritzFon SOS features

FRITZ! is rolling out significant updates for its MyFritz app and FritzFon hardware. The MyFritz app, available for both iOS and Android, now includes integrated access to company shop and service pages. This allows users to purchase products and request technical support directly from their home network through the application. Additionally, the app update features a relocated news link on the home screen and various stability improvements.

For FritzFon DECT telephones, a new SOS emergency call feature is being introduced as part of the FRITZ!OS 8.50 laboratory update. This function allows users to store up to four emergency contacts who will be called automatically in sequence if an alert is triggered. Users can customize the duration and frequency of these call sequences.

This emergency functionality is part of a new ‘Easy Mode’ designed to assist elderly users or those who find complex menus difficult. This mode simplifies the interface by focusing on core telephony functions and allowing selection keys to be used as customizable speed-dial buttons.
