Fritzmeier to close Slovak production facility in Bánovce nad Bebravou

The German Fritzmeier Group has decided to terminate production at its FMB s. r. o. facility in Bánovce nad Bebravou, Slovakia, after more than 20 years of operation. The company, which specialized in manufacturing cabin structures and components for agricultural and construction machinery, will relocate its production to sister plants in the Czech Republic and Germany.

The decision follows several years of financial decline. Since 2020, the company has failed to report a profit, accumulating losses exceeding 2.6 million euros between 2021 and 2025. Annual revenues also saw a significant drop, falling from 9 million to 5 million euros.

The liquidation process is currently underway. The company has already begun selling off assets, generating over 600,000 euros, but faces a remaining lease obligation for its production premises totaling approximately 645,000 euros, which remains binding until March 2028. At the time of the latest accounting, the company employed 44 people.
