Fritzmeier production facility closure in Slovakia
Overview
The German Fritzmeier Group has announced the closure of its FMB s. r. o. facility in Bánovce nad Bebravou, Slovakia, ending more than 20 years of operation. The company, which manufactured cabin structures and components for agricultural and construction machinery, intends to relocate production to sister plants in Germany and the Czech Republic.
The decision follows a period of financial decline. Between 2021 and 2025, the company accumulated losses exceeding 2.6 million euros, while annual revenues dropped from 9 million to 5 million euros.
A liquidation process is underway, including the sale of assets. The company, which employed 44 people at its last accounting, remains bound by a lease obligation for its production premises totaling approximately 645,000 euros until March 2028.
