Friuli Venezia Giulia allocates 750,000 euros to cereal supply chain

The Friuli Venezia Giulia regional government has approved a 750,000 euro fund to support the regional cereal supply chain. The measure, established under regional law 9/2026, aims to improve the quality, safety, and continuity of products intended for human consumption, specifically targeting maize and other cereals.

The funding is designed to encourage integrated projects carried out jointly by various operators. This includes collaborations through the formation of companies, temporary associations of companies, or business networks to better coordinate production, transformation, storage, and marketing phases.

Eligible investments include drying plants, storage and preservation sites, and systems for winnowing, cleaning, and optical selection of cereals. The fund also covers technologies for monitoring toxins, temperature, proteins, and cracking, as well as specific harvesting machinery. The regional contribution will cover 40 percent of eligible expenses, distributed via a first-come, first-served procedure until resources are exhausted.
