Friuli Venezia Giulia concert faces corruption probe

An official complaint has been prepared for the National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC) regarding the organization of an Andrea Bocelli concert in Gemona del Friuli. The event, held on May 7, 2026, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1976 earthquake, cost the Friuli Venezia Giulia region over 3.1 million euros.

The investigation focuses on the procurement process, as the organization was awarded through a negotiated procedure without a public tender to a company called FVG Live. Allegations suggest a conflict of interest, noting that the owner of FVG Live is a business partner of the son of the regional Civil Protection Councilor, Riccardo Riccardi, who initiated the project.
