Friuli Venezia Giulia increases fuel subsidies to legal maximum

The Friuli Venezia Giulia region has increased fuel subsidies to the maximum level permitted by current regulations, effective October 1, 2026. The measure aims to support local families and businesses through the final quarter of the year.

Discounts are applied based on geographic zones. In Area 0, which includes Trieste and surrounding municipalities, the subsidy rises to 39 cents per liter for gasoline and 30 cents for diesel. Hybrid vehicle owners receive an additional 5-cent bonus. In Area 1, the contribution increases to 29 cents for gasoline and 20 cents for diesel, while Area 2 provides 22 cents for gasoline and 16 cents for diesel.

The regional government is utilizing 2.6 million euros in extra funds to cover these costs through December 31.
