Friuli‑Venezia Giulia allocates €1 million to support Pro Loco tourism groups

The regional government of Friuli‑Venezia Giulia approved a €1 million budget for Pro Loco associations for 2025. Of this sum, €809,240 will fund the promotion and operation of Pro Loco offices, €12,200 will cover the functioning of consortium offices, and €178,560 will support the Unpli Fvg coordination body. The Unpli Fvg coordinates more than 240 Pro Loco groups, engaging over 22,000 volunteers who organize hundreds of cultural, gastronomic and landscape events each year, aiming to boost tourism, destagionalise visitor flows and enhance the region’s attractiveness.

The allocation follows a regional law adopted in 2025 and reflects the assessor for Production Activities and Tourism, Sergio Emidio Bini’s view that Pro Loco organisations are a strategic pillar for regional development.
