Frontier Developments announces Planet Zoo 2 release date

Frontier Developments has announced the release details for Planet Zoo 2, scheduled for October 13, 2026. The sequel to the zoo simulation game introduces several new features, including the ability to build freshwater and saltwater aquariums, aviaries for flying animals, and nature reserves where players can release animals for conservation purposes.

New animal species confirmed for the title include reef blacktip sharks, hawksbill turtles, toucans, and various schooling fish. The game aims to expand the original concept by allowing players to manage aquatic environments and conservation projects outside of traditional zoo boundaries. Pre-loading for the PC version is already available on Steam.
