Frontier Developments hosts Planet Zoo 2 summit at Chester Zoo

Frontier Developments has hosted a Zoological Summit at Chester Zoo to showcase upcoming features of Planet Zoo 2. The two-day immersive event, held on 11 and 12 September, provided influencers and fans with a pre-release look at the game, which is scheduled for official release on 13 October 2026.

The summit featured gameplay demonstrations, educational sessions led by zoo experts and developers, and a gallery of development artwork. The event also included themed food stations and merchandise, with a portion of funds raised benefiting Chester Zoo as a charity partner.

Regarding gameplay content, Frontier has revealed that Planet Zoo 2 will feature 110 animals, including returning species like the giant panda, snow leopard, and sun bear, all with visual upgrades. New additions include the Indian Ocean Oriental Sweetlips and the giant barracuda. Additionally, the game will introduce a redesigned exhibit system, offering players increased flexibility in designing animal habitats and managing spawn points.
