Italian clubs Frosinone and Forlì win preseason friendlies ahead of new season

Frosinone Calcio defeated Ascoli 1‑0 in a summer friendly at the Manlio Scopigno stadium in Rieti, with Cittadini scoring the only goal. The match was part of the team's pre‑season training in the nearby Terminillo area, where coach Massimiliano Alvini highlighted discipline, cohesion and enjoyment as the squad’s guiding principles. President Maurizio Stirpe praised the location for its proximity to the club’s base.

In a separate fixture, Forlì opened its season with a 4‑0 victory over Imolese at the Castiglione di Ravenna ground. Goals came from Macrì, Perini (penalty), Rossi and Greco, giving new manager Nicola Campedelli a positive start. Both clubs used the friendlies to evaluate new signings and assess tactical setups before the start of the Serie C campaign.
