Italian clubs preseason training

In late July 2026 several Italian football clubs across different league tiers continued their preseason preparations.

Serie A newcomers Frosinone Calcio held a high‑altitude camp at Terminillo, concentrating on discipline, cohesion and a clear playing identity under coach Massimiliano Alvini. The squad’s first friendly saw Frosinone defeat Ascoli 1‑0, with Cittadini scoring the winner. Coach Alvini highlighted enjoyment as a guiding principle, and President Maurizio Stirpe praised the location’s proximity to the club’s base.

Serie C side Forlì opened its season with a 4‑0 win over Imolese, giving new manager Nicola Campedelli a positive start and allowing both clubs to assess new signings and tactical setups.

At the lower levels, Serie C side Foggia 1920 began its first day of training at the San Gregorio Magno camp. Coach Gaetano Auteri evaluated young players while negotiations continued for a possible loan of defender Angelo Viscardi from Benevento and scouting of forwards Luca Petrungaro, Giacomo Parigi, goalkeeper Gianluca Saro and defender Eddy Cabianca.

Serie D club Fano (Alma) completed three days of its camp under Fabio Fucili. President Paolo Petrucci praised the youth squad, fan support and the club’s efforts to attract new members, secure sponsors and launch a ticket‑sale campaign ahead of the Eccellenza season.

Across the clubs, the focus remained on physical conditioning, tactical drills and roster adjustments as they geared up for the 2026‑27 domestic competitions.
