Frosinone police stop four fraud schemes targeting elderly by fake carabinieri

On 3 July, four fraud attempts were reported in the municipalities of San Giovanni Incarico and Falvaterra, near Frosinone, Italy. Perpetrators posed as members of the Carabinieri, either knocking on doors or calling victims to claim a forthcoming police search. One phone call was made to a 100‑year‑old resident.

The potential victims or their families alerted emergency services (112). Carabinieri units from the Pontecorvo operational centre, including patrols and a radiomobile, promptly investigated the incidents. No arrests have been made and the suspects remain unidentified, with investigations ongoing.
