Frosolone to Host Baccalà and Peperuol Festival on August 1, 2026

The town of Frosolone in Molise will hold its traditional "Sagra baccalà e peperuol" on 1 August 2026, part of the Festa della Perdonanza. The celebration combines a religious procession at San Rocco, a parade of allegorical floats, and free public events throughout the historic centre. The culinary highlight is the fried cod (baccalà) served with sautéed local peppers, a dish that reflects the area's culinary heritage.
