Fruit Attraction 2026 generates 419 million euros for Madrid
The Fruit Attraction 2026 trade fair has concluded with a record-breaking economic impact of 419 million euros for the Community of Madrid, representing a 3% increase compared to 2025. Organized by Ifema Madrid and Fepex, the event contributed to the maintenance of 3,106 jobs in the region.
The exhibition hosted over 120,000 professionals from more than 150 countries. A significant milestone was reached during the second day, which saw over 55,200 concurrent visitors, the highest attendance recorded for any fair held at Ifema Madrid. The event featured 2,500 exhibiting companies from 78 countries, occupying 162,000 square meters of space.
Spanish companies accounted for 51% of the exhibitors, with representation from all autonomous communities that produce fruits and vegetables. This event underscores the importance of the Spanish horticultural sector, which had a value exceeding 21.9 billion euros in 2025. Spain remains a European leader in the field, producing approximately 24.64 million tons annually, with nearly 60% of that production destined for export.
