FSK introduces certification for EU packaging regulation compliance
The Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane e. V. (FSK) has introduced a new training certificate to assist companies in complying with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) 2025/40.
As certain obligations under the regulation took effect on August 12, 2026, the FSK is expanding its existing PPWR e-learning program. The new certificate serves as formal documentation that participants have successfully completed the course and passed a final quiz. This provides companies with verifiable proof of employee knowledge and compliance, which is increasingly important for audits, business partners, and regulatory inspections.
Roni Belet, the PPWR contact for the FSK, stated that the certificate offers a simple way to document successful engagement with the training content, helping businesses manage the new responsibilities and documentation duties brought by the regulation.
