FSSAI suspends Dior Pharmaceuticals and Switz Foods licenses over hygiene breaches
India’s Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI) has suspended the food licence of Dior Pharmaceuticals after an inspection of its nutraceutical manufacturing unit in Punjab revealed severe deficiencies in Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Hygiene Practices and Food Safety Management Systems, posing a risk to public health. The regulator ordered the company to cease all production until the violations are fully rectified.
In a separate action, FSSAI also suspended the licence of Switz Foods Pvt Ltd, citing unhygienic conditions, extensive pest infestation and inadequate cleaning of equipment and storage areas. The firm was instructed to stop all food‑business activities until it complies with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
