FuboTV launches local sports add-on and NHL distribution deal
FuboTV has launched a new “My Local Sports” add-on package, designed to provide subscribers with greater flexibility in accessing regional sports networks (RSNs) and FAST channels. The initiative is part of the company’s strategic plan for profitable growth by offering competitively priced, lighter sports packages.
As part of this expansion, FuboTV has entered into a multi-year distribution agreement with the National Hockey League (NHL). This deal allows the streaming service to carry regional sports networks for the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, and St. Louis Blues. These channels will be available to subscribers within each respective team's home market.
The NHL move follows the shutdown of channels previously operated by FanDuel Sports Network, leading the league to manage broadcasts directly and secure distributors individually. The new hockey coverage is expected to be available on FuboTV in time for the 2026-27 regular season.
