Fuel prices in Belgium fluctuate amid price hikes and station error

Fuel prices in Belgium are seeing significant fluctuations. In Lot, an unmanned Texaco station on Bergensesteenweg experienced a massive price drop, with diesel selling for only 1.765 euros per liter. This was significantly lower than nearby prices, such as 2.149 euros at the same station's standard rate and 2.119 euros at a nearby Makro station. The discrepancy, which could save a driver nearly 20 euros on a 50-liter tank, appeared to be a pricing error, though the operator did not provide immediate comment.

Separately, official maximum prices for diesel are set to rise. As of August 21, the maximum price for diesel B7 will increase by 3.2 cents per liter to 2.315 euros. Diesel B10 will also see a 3.2-cent increase, reaching a maximum of 2.306 euros per liter, while Diesel XTL will rise by 4.6 cents to 3.712 euros. In contrast, heating oil (gasolie H0/H7) prices are decreasing by 0.53 cents per liter.
