Fujifilm announces VF-GFXC2 viewfinder for GFX ETERNA 55

Fujifilm has announced the development of the VF-GFXC2, a dedicated electronic viewfinder (EVF) designed specifically for the GFX ETERNA 55 digital filmmaking camera. The accessory is expected to be released by the end of 2026 and will be showcased at IBC2026.

The VF-GFXC2 features an OLED display panel with a resolution of 2048×1536 and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It utilizes a native 4:3 aspect ratio to match the full 4:3 open-gate GFX image format, allowing filmmakers to view the entire sensor area. To assist in various production environments, the unit includes a large eyecup to block ambient light and a machined aluminum exterior for durability.

John Blackwood, director of Brand & Product Marketing at Fujifilm North America Corporation, stated that the viewfinder is intended to meet the demands of modern filmmakers by providing exceptional contrast and detail for composition and focus.
