Fulda cycling event reaches 547,000 kilometers

The annual ‘Stadtradeln’ cycling event in the city and district of Fulda has concluded after three weeks. Approximately 2,500 participants contributed to a total of 547,000 kilometers traveled by bicycle.

Organizers Stephan Fehrenbach, mobility manager for the city of Fulda, and Christian Hillenbrand, local mobility coordinator for the district, presented the final results on Wednesday. The event aims to promote environmental protection by encouraging people to replace car trips with cycling for daily commutes and leisure activities.

Data from the district shows an increase in engagement compared to the previous year, including a 7% rise in registrations and a 40% increase in trips, rising from 23,000 to 32,000.
