Dune: Awakening to launch on PS5 and Xbox on September 22

At Gamescom 2026, Funcom provided extensive updates for the open-world survival game Dune: Awakening. The studio confirmed a September 22 release date for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions, following its initial PC launch.

Key announcements include the introduction of a full single-player mode, which features a major balance pass to ensure smooth progression for solo players. This update will also include scalable difficulty levels and additional gameplay customization. Funcom also revealed the ‘Filmic Archive’ DLC, priced at $9.99, which offers outfits and building pieces inspired by the Dune film franchise.

Technical demonstrations showcased gameplay on the PlayStation 5 Pro, highlighting 4K resolution and a 60fps Performance Mode. Additionally, Funcom confirmed that cross-play functionality between PC and consoles will be implemented after the initial launch.
