Fundación Jiménez Díaz named Madrid's most efficient hospital
The Fundación Jiménez Díaz has been named the most efficient hospital in Madrid for the fourth consecutive year, according to the fourth edition of the Hospital Efficiency Quadrant study conducted by the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
The study analyzed eight high-complexity reference centers within the Madrid Health Service (Sermas). Efficiency was measured using two primary metrics: the Management Indicator, which evaluates economic efficiency, and the Healthcare Efficiency Indicator, which assesses clinical performance.
As the only Sermas reference hospital utilizing a mixed management model, the Fundación Jiménez Díaz achieved a score of 1.71. Other hospitals ranked in the study included Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro de Majadahonda, Hospital Universitario La Paz, Hospital Universitario La Princesa, Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal, Hospital Clínico San Carlos, and Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre.
