Fundación Unidos para Sonreír provides earthquake relief in Colombia
The Fundación Unidos para Sonreír is coordinating humanitarian relief for families affected by an earthquake in Colombia. The foundation, which supports children and adolescents with cerebral palsy and reduced mobility, identified approximately 30 of its member families who suffered damage to their homes. No injuries were reported among these individuals.
In response, the foundation has activated a donation portal on its official website, allowing contributions starting from 50,000 pesos. Relief efforts have already resulted in the shipment of 16 tons of aid—including food, pet supplies, medicine, and school kits—to the Litoral de San Juan region in Chocó. This effort was supported by various entities, including the First Lady of Bogotá, Carolina Deik, the Fundación Camioneros por Colombia, and APIs Student Agency.
Further aid, including additional food supplies and two home rehabilitation gyms, is scheduled for delivery in Chocó on Saturday, August 22.
