Colombia earthquake humanitarian relief efforts

Overview

Following an earthquake in Colombia, humanitarian relief efforts have been initiated by various organizations. The Fundación Unidos para Sonreír, which supports children and adolescents with mobility challenges, identified approximately 30 member families with home damage. The foundation has shipped 16 tons of aid, including food, medicine, and school kits, to the Litoral de San Juan region in Chocó.

International support has also emerged, with the City Council of Torrejón de Ardoz in Spain allocating 6,000 euros to assist victims. In coordination with the Red Cross and Fundación Madrina, local authorities in Torrejón de Ardoz have organized fundraising events and called for voluntary contributions from residents to support those affected by the disaster.
