Funesp announces new sports investments in Campo Grande
The Municipal Sports Foundation (Funesp) held a training meeting for social sports and leisure agents to align actions and strengthen the MovimentaCG Program. During the event, new sports equipment was distributed to service centers across the capital.
Funding for these improvements came from various parliamentary amendments. Federal Deputy Rodolfo Nogueira allocated R$ 1 million for equipment, while Deputy Luiz Ovando provided R$ 446,000, which includes funds for a new public Pilates and weightlifting studio at Ayrton Senna Park. Additionally, State Deputy Lidio Lopes contributed R$ 240,000 for sports materials and park maintenance, and Federal Deputy Dagoberto Nogueira provided funds to support public football schools.
The MovimentaCG program currently operates in 85 locations, offering 19 modalities and 489 workshops, serving 9,685 registered students with a monthly average of 38,135 attendances. Funesp president Maicon Mommad stated that these investments aim to strengthen the work of social agents and expand service options for the population.
