Futebol Forte União approves R$ 10 million advance for Serie A clubs
The Futebol Forte União (FFU) has approved an advance payment of R$ 10 million in October for ten clubs competing in the Brazilian Serie A. This amount is an early distribution of funds tied to audience targets that were originally scheduled to be paid at the end of the season. The recipient clubs include Athletico-PR, Botafogo, Chapecoense, Corinthians, Coritiba, Cruzeiro, Fluminense, Internacional, Mirassol, and Vasco.
During the same Extraordinary General Assembly, the FFU also approved an advance of R$ 1 million for each of the 18 clubs in Serie B, though these funds are linked to projected revenues for 2027. Starting next year, the revenue distribution model will shift to 85% for Serie A clubs and 15% for Serie B clubs. This restructuring is expected to increase payments to second-division teams, with potential totals reaching R$ 24 million by 2027.
