Future Mobility expo in São Paulo highlights electric vehicle growth in Brazil
The Future Mobility exhibition, held at the Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo until 25 June, showcased the rapid transformation of Brazil’s mobility sector. Spanning about 100,000 m², the event gathered hundreds of exhibitors, including automakers, technology firms and infrastructure operators, and featured a public test‑drive track.
Bright Consulting COO Murilo Briganti warned that Chinese brands are set to capture a sizable share of the market, estimating they could hold 40 % of national sales by 2030, up from roughly 20 % today. He stressed that traditional manufacturers must adopt hybrid‑flex or partner with Chinese firms to remain competitive. The expo also highlighted Brazil’s clean energy matrix, bio‑fuels and the increasing affordability of electric vehicles, signaling a shift from regulatory‑driven adoption to consumer‑driven demand.
