G7 Summit adopts nine declarations and launches mineral resilience alliance; EU reaches agreement on SME and digital EU‑
The Group of Seven leaders met in Évian‑les‑Bains, France, from June 15‑17 and adopted nine sector‑specific declarations. Among the outcomes was the creation of an Important Minerals Resilience and Production Alliance, and the summit was attended by partner country heads from India, Kenya, South Korea, Brazil and Egypt.
In Europe, the EU Council of Ministers and the European Parliament reached a political agreement under the Omnibus IV package. The deal creates a new EU directive category for small and medium‑sized enterprises and advances legislation on digitalisation and common technical standards, moving both proposals toward formal adoption.
