The G7 leaders gathered in Evian‑les‑Bains, France, for a three‑day summit on June 15‑17. Separately, the Greek‑based European Communist Action issued a statement condemning the summit, describing it as a meeting of the “Euro‑Atlantic capitalist bloc” and accusing the leaders of pursuing policies that worsen energy costs, security pretenses, and workers’ rights. The group called for opposition to the G7, NATO and EU, and expressed solidarity with peoples in Cuba, Palestine, Lebanon, Iran and Venezuela.
