Gable Steveson retains potential after UFC 331 knockout loss

MMA analyst Chael Sonnen believes Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson retains significant potential following his knockout loss to Sean Sharaf at UFC 331. The defeat was considered one of the most shocking upsets in recent promotion history, as Steveson was expected to continue his ascent through the heavyweight division.

Sonnen noted that Steveson has a history of overcoming high-profile adversity, citing his previous loss in the NCAA finals as evidence of his resilience. Sonnen emphasized that despite the loss, interest in Steveson remains high, stating, “Whatever Gable does next, very obviously, is going to be big.”
