Gabon reshuffles diplomatic corps with multiple recalls

The Gabonese Council of Ministers has ordered a significant reorganization of the country’s diplomatic representation abroad, involving the recall of numerous diplomats and the appointment of new officials.

In Equatorial Guinea, Ambassador Sébastien Ntoutoume Békalé has been recalled and replaced by Minister Plenipotentiary Aristide Ebang Essono. Other diplomatic staff in Equatorial Guinea, including First Counselor Urbain Kinga, have also been recalled.

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Jean Ekoua has been appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kinshasa, succeeding Joséphine Ntyam Eyha. Further changes include diplomatic shifts in Togo, Belgium, Morocco, Egypt, and Spain.

France has also seen multiple departures from Gabonese missions, including customs inspectors, consuls, and various advisors. Additionally, Gabriel Mally Hodjoua has been named Ambassador to Cameroon, replacing Fabien Omer Ndimina Dabou, who has been transferred to Egypt.
