GAC enters Norway and Denmark markets via Electric Way partnership
Electric Way, an import company under the Sulland Group, has secured an agreement with Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC) to distribute its vehicle brands in Norway and Denmark. The partnership aims to establish GAC's presence in the Nordic region through a strategy focused on European-designed products and local logistics.
The first model to be launched in both markets is the AION UT, an all-electric compact hatchback specifically developed for European customers. The vehicle is expected to arrive in markets by mid-September. In Denmark, the AION UT is positioned as a competitor to models like the Volkswagen ID. 3, featuring a 60 kWh LFP battery and an estimated range of 430 kilometers.
GAC is offering an eight-year factory warranty, capped at 160,000 kilometers, to build consumer trust. The manufacturer utilizes a “In Europe, for Europe” strategy, which includes a European headquarters in Amsterdam, a distribution center in Rotterdam, and a design studio in Milan. Vehicles are produced in Graz, Austria, in collaboration with Magna Steyr.
