GAC and Xpeng debut new electric models at Paris Motor Show

Chinese automakers GAC and Xpeng are expanding their presence in the European market with new electric vehicle debuts at the Paris Motor Show.

GAC introduced the Aion UT Cross, an electric crossover designed with input from its Milan-based design center. The model features a more rugged aesthetic than the standard UT hatchback, including increased ground clearance, roof rails, and protective cladding. It is equipped with a 60 kWh battery providing a WLTP range of approximately 400 km and is expected to arrive in European markets, including the UK and Spain, by 2027.

Simultaneously, Xpeng unveiled the G9L, a large luxury electric SUV. The G9L is available in 6 or 7-seat configurations and offers a range of up to 591 km (WLTP). The vehicle features advanced technology such as an 800V architecture for rapid charging, air suspension, and rear-wheel steering. In markets like Belgium, prices for the G9L are expected to start around 74,990 euros.
