Chinese electric and smart vehicle market expansion

Overview

Chinese automotive manufacturers are expanding their electric and smart vehicle portfolios through new model unveilings and pre-sales.

In late August, FAW’s premium brand Hongqi debuted the Tiangong 07 electric limousine at the Chengdu Auto Show, featuring a lidar-equipped autopilot system. Concurrently, Chery group’s Jetour prepared for the launch of the Tourer, a compact crossover equipped with the Falcon 500 autonomous driving system.

By early September, GAC Group initiated pre-sales for two new models. The Qijing GX7, developed in collaboration with Huawei, utilizes Huawei Qiankun intelligent driving technology and CATL batteries to achieve a range of over 1,500 kilometers. Additionally, GAC Trumpchi introduced the Yue 7, a hybrid off-road SUV designed for global export to over 100 countries.
