Gaiole in Chianti allocates €40,000 to support local associations

The municipal council of Gaiole in Chianti approved a €40,000 grant for local associations, to be disbursed over the 2025‑2026 period. The funding covers cultural, sporting, social and solidarity activities carried out by a range of groups, including ASD Chiantigiana, Chianti Basket, Auser, and the Filarmonica Gaiole. Ten percent of each contribution is earmarked for a solidarity fund to aid associations facing difficulties. Mayor Michele Pescini said the investment “goes beyond a simple expense, it is an investment in the future of the community.” The decision aims to sustain volunteer‑driven initiatives that form the heart of the town’s social fabric.
