Gala Montes accuses María José and Paty Cantú of song plagiarism

Mexican actress and singer Gala Montes has accused María José, Paty Cantú, and Stefano Vieni of plagiarism. Through Instagram stories, Montes claimed that the song ‘La mala del cuento’—performed by María José and written by Cantú and Vieni—is a copy of her own track, ‘La mala,’ from her upcoming album ‘La hija de nadie.’

Montes stated she has attempted to contact Paty Cantú multiple times to discuss the matter but has received no response. She expressed disappointment, noting that she previously maintained a close relationship with Cantú. Montes also shared material intended to compare the timelines of her work with the release of the new track.

In a separate development, Montes has also faced tension with fellow entertainer Arath de la Torre. Following her appearance on ‘La Casa de los Famosos México,’ de la Torre expressed concern for her well-being, but Montes responded by criticizing his perceived lack of support during her time on the reality show.
