Galaţi County launches €1.6 m EU‑funded modern hospital pavilion in Târgu Bujor

The aging pavilion of the Internal Medicine Department and Emergency Room at Târgu Bujor Hospital in Galaţi County is being demolished to make way for a new modern medical pavilion. The €1.6 million project is financed by European Union funds under the “Health without Borders” programme and is co‑implemented by the Galaţi County Council together with the Hînceşti district of the Republic of Moldova.

County Council President Costel Fotea said the new facility will serve more than 60,000 residents of Târgu Bujor and surrounding localities such as Vârlezi, Umbrăreşti, Fârţăneşti, Băneasa and Jorăşti, improving healthcare access in the region.
