Galatasaray signs basketball sponsorship deal with 1905 GSYİAD

Galatasaray has signed a sponsorship agreement with 1905 GSYİAD for the jersey back sponsorship of its men's basketball team. The signing ceremony took place at RAMS Park and was attended by Galatasaray Vice President Mehmet Cibara, board member Mecit Mert Çetinkaya, and 1905 GSYİAD President Murat Sancaktar.

During the event, Mehmet Cibara noted that despite difficult economic conditions, the club continues to secure various sponsorships. He indicated that further sponsorship agreements are expected in the coming weeks.

Regarding player transfers, Cibara addressed the situation with Sydney Taylor. Although a contract had been mutually signed, Taylor reportedly decided at the last minute not to move to Turkey, citing better contract opportunities in the United States following her performance in the WNBA. Negotiations regarding a buy-out are currently ongoing. Cibara stated that if Taylor is not with the team by October 1, daily penalties stipulated in the contract will apply, and she would face higher compensation if she joins any other European league.
