Galicia and Andalusia lead Spain in supplier payment efficiency

Galicia and Andalusia have emerged as the leaders in supplier payment efficiency in Spain for the month of June. According to data from the Ministry of Finance, Galicia recorded the fastest average payment period at 15.3 days, closely followed by Andalusia at 15.4 days. Both regions remain significantly below the 30-day legal limit established by national regulations.

Galicia also maintains one of the lowest levels of commercial debt among autonomous communities, representing just 0.11% of the national average. During the first half of the year, the Xunta allocated approximately 2.4 billion euros to settle roughly 390,000 invoices from over 11,000 suppliers, including SMEs and freelancers.

In Andalusia, the payment period of 15.4 days is nearly half of the legal threshold. Regional Vice President Carolina España stated that these figures support the government's objective of maintaining an efficient administration and serve as a guarantee for the region's economic policy.
