Galicia hotel sector revenues grow 5.8% in early 2026
The hotel sector in Galicia experienced significant growth in the first seven months of 2026. According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INE), total nominal revenues for the period reached 242.3 million euros, representing a 5.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
July marked a historic milestone for the region, with revenues hitting 68.3 million euros—a 6.9% increase from July of the previous year. This is the first time monthly billing for the sector has exceeded 65 million euros in July since records began. During the month, 644,755 people stayed in hotels and pensions, generating approximately 1.33 million nights.
Domestic tourism remains the primary driver, accounting for 76% of hotel nights. Within this segment, visitors from other Spanish autonomous communities represent 57% of the total nights.
