Galicia launches tuition aid for unemployed graduates up to €836
The regional government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia) has opened a scholarship programme to help unemployed university graduates cover the cost of a master’s degree. Eligible applicants must be registered as job seekers on the day of application, hold a university degree completed by 30 September 2025, and enrol in an official master’s programme of at least 60 credits at a Galician university for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The aid covers between €591 and €835.80 per student, depending on the master’s price, and is awarded on a competitive basis until the €75,000 budget is exhausted. Applications are submitted online through the Xunta’s electronic portal between 6 August and 6 October 2026.
The scheme aims to improve employability by supporting further training for the region’s unemployed graduates, with priority given to those who have been registered as job seekers the longest.
