Galicia PP leader accuses PSOE and BNG of betraying region over AP‑9 transfer

Paula Prado, the PP deputy secretary‑general in Galicia, claimed that the national PSOE government and its BNG coalition partner are "betraying" Galicians by approving the transfer of the AP‑9 highway to the central state. She argued that the deal would save Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez about €3.938 billion, an amount she says would be an extra cost for the region, and criticised the move as a political stunt aimed at preserving Sánchez’s grip on power. Prado also named Borja Verea as the only viable option to lift Santiago de Compostela out of the “darkness” created by the current administration and warned that the transfer exemplifies a broader pattern of the government prioritising its own interests over those of autonomous communities.
