Galicia promotes Xacobeo 2027 and Underfest Xacobeo 2026

Galicia is preparing for significant cultural and tourism milestones, including the upcoming Xacobeo 2027 Holy Year and the 9th edition of the Underfest Xacobeo music festival.

In Madrid, the promotional campaign for Xacobeo 2027 was presented, highlighting the Camino de Santiago as a premier destination for heritage, nature, and gastronomy. Officials noted the region's strong tourism standing and emphasized the pilgrimage as both a religious and personal physical challenge. The campaign arrives with less than 100 days to go before the Holy Year cycle begins.

Simultaneously, the Underfest Xacobeo has announced its initial lineup for 2026, featuring international artists such as Beth Orton, Cloud Nothings, and The Monsters, alongside local talent like Tegra and Antela. The festival, which takes place in Vigo from November 13 to 15, utilizes unique venues including the Museum of Contemporary Art (MARCO) and the R. C. Náutico library.
