Galicia reactivates permits for agricultural and forest burning

The Xunta de Galicia has announced the reactivation of procedures for agricultural burning and requests for forest residue burning. Starting Monday, November 2, individuals can submit communications for agricultural burning via a specific website or by calling 012.

Under current regulations, agricultural burning may only proceed starting Wednesday, November 4, to satisfy the required two-day notice period. Additionally, requests for the burning of piled forest residues will resume on Monday, though these require formal administrative authorization due to higher risks.

The regional government emphasized that all communications and authorizations will be invalid on days characterized by high temperatures and strong winds.
