Galileo Robotics unveils Galileo X mobility system at WRC 2026
At the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC 2026), Chinese robotics company Galileo unveiled the Galileo X, a new “Embodied Ground Mobility System”. The platform is designed as a general-purpose ground mobility solution intended to bridge the technological gaps between wheeled automated guided vehicles (AGVs), off-road vehicles, and legged quadruped robots.
The Galileo X utilizes a proprietary Unified Embodied Ground Mobility System, which integrates hardware architecture and a unified control framework. This allows for end-to-end coordination across mechanics, actuation, perception, and control. By combining high-precision indoor transport, long-range off-road mobility, and complex-terrain traversal, the system aims to reduce the complexity of multi-device coordination and maintenance costs.
Potential applications for the platform include heavy-duty off-road handling, warehouse logistics, mobile chassis for humanoid robots, and various inspection or mobile operation tasks.
