Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea hosts Luigi & Iango exhibition

The Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Corpi speciali di Luigi & Iango’, running from October 13 to November 29, 2026. The exhibition features over one hundred photographs by the Italian-Swiss duo Luigi Murenu and Iango Henzi.

The works explore the human body as a political, poetic, and symbolic space, focusing on contemporary cultural figures, performers, and dancers. Curator Francesca Alfano Miglietti describes the photography as a study of the human figure as a transforming organism shaped by cultural tensions, desires, and vulnerabilities, moving beyond traditional fashion photography codes.

Luigi & Iango have produced more than 300 magazine covers for major international fashion publications and have previously exhibited at institutions such as the Brooklyn Museum, the Musée des arts décoratifs in Paris, and the Kunsthal Rotterdam.
