Galloper revives in Spain with Chinese partnership, launching new off‑road SUV and pickup

The historic Spanish 4×4 brand Galloper is being relaunched after a long hiatus through a joint venture between a Spanish investment group led by Carlos Lobato and the Chinese firm Anhui Coronet. The partnership aims to re‑introduce affordable, rugged off‑road vehicles to the Spanish market.

Two models will debut: the S15 SUV, built on a Nissan Paladin platform and equipped with a 2.0‑litre turbo gasoline engine delivering 228 hp and 360 Nm, featuring an eight‑speed ZF automatic, BorgWarner all‑wheel drive, a 32° approach angle and 70 cm water fording capability; and the P15 pickup, based on a Nissan Navara chassis, over five metres long and capable of carrying roughly one tonne. Both vehicles combine simple interiors with modern connectivity. Galloper plans to be operational before the end of 2026, joining other revived Spanish marques such as EBRO and Santana in reshaping Spain’s automotive landscape.
