Relaunch of Galloper automotive brand in Spain

Overview

The Spanish off-road brand Galloper is preparing for a market relaunch following a hiatus that began in 2005. The revival is being driven by a partnership between a Spanish investment group and the Chinese firm Anhui Coronet.

The brand intends to introduce two primary models: an S15 SUV and a P15 pickup. These vehicles will utilize body-on-frame chassis, with the SUV based on a Nissan Paladin platform and the pickup based on a Nissan Navara chassis. Technical specifications include 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engines, eight-speed ZF automatic transmissions, and BorgWarner all-wheel-drive systems.

Manufacturing is expected to be handled by Coronet under license from Dongfeng Zhengzhou. The company aims to be operational by late 2026, with model names inspired by Spanish mountain ranges expected to be announced in September.
